I made this for my character design project where I had to pick an ancient mythology god/goddess and draw/paint it in your own style. I decided to go for Morrigan and here is a brief description I wrote of her:

Morrigan is an Irish and Celtic Goddess. She is said to be the goddess of War, Death,Rebirth and fertility. People say she is a shape-shifter and can take on many forms, of which the crow is her favorite. It is in that form that she hovers over the battlefield, calling upon the spirits of slain warriors. She is also called as Mother Death or Queen of the Phantoms. Even though Morrigan is often portrayed as war-loving and wild, she is neither a force of evil nor good, she is a sort of balance.

Because I only had a weekend to do it I didn't go for something overly crazy but I like it though
